As most of you may know, I'm basically looking after my mum who is going through cancer, and recently it has got to the point where it is spreading at quite a fast rate and she probably hasn't long to go.

Its seems that now its at the stage where a lot of her body is starting to breakdown, and she was taken into hospital yesterday for an operation to help ease some of the issues. Anyhow, to cut a long story short, they decided to not do the operation as it seems to be really quite close to the end by the look of it, closer than we thought, and they considered not having the operation as a "nicer way to die".

So it would be a good idea to replace me and someone else to take over the role of GM, although I'm sure I wont be gone forever, I can see myself not having the time to WoW for a while, as will have a lot of stuff to deal with.

As its all unknown as to how long she has left, any raids that I have signed up for consider me as a backup (unless you are stuck), and when it gets to the point where I am definately unable to raid or be backup I'll let ya know.

Can we sort out who I can pass the GM onto, so I can get that sorted as soon as I can before I forget about it.

I thought this might be coming but had hoped (for your sake) that it wasn't going to be so soon. As ever, you need to look after yourself and your mum as best you can, obviously don't worry about Icon, we'll manage in your absence.

In the meantime you are welcome to join raids whenever you have time, or just fancy a break, I'm sure any of us will be happy to give you a spot. If you like, I'll take on GM role, but it's more of a figurehead thing in this guild as we're pretty collaborative.

Finally, I wanted to make an offer of company if you need it. I'm "just up the road" if you ever need anything, either for me to come visit or you to come up North to get away from it all.

Anything you need, please ask.

I'm sure we'll be safe in Hogs hands for the time being. I went through some hard times myself recently and I found it good to come raid and get away from it all. Everyone deals with things differently though so do whatever you wish.
Raid when you feel like it, don't when you don't. Use us as you see fit :)

I really can`t find the words to express myself regarding your situation Gringo , i can`t even imagine what you must be going through.The only thing that i can say is that i am wishing for only good things to happen.Hold on there mate and may your mom be healthy and yourself too
