These dudes split the team up on the towers it seems.

I like that idea of an up group and a down group.

Also, I do not think we would have had a chance of following any of these strats last night.

We had 3 healers, and that leaves 2 a tank and 1 DPS in one of the groups, so we just wouldn't have got it down fast enough, as the stuff from the drakes when you are down hurts.... alot... Not to mention overlapping waves like we had last night due to being 1 less dps.

Just frustrating when we get told we should have watched the vid, knowing we are going with a differant setup o.O

I would say it'd be worth trying it 2 healers ... Suker go DPS, or swap him or me out for a proper DPS... It didn't seem all that hard to heal tbh, and the adds and shit will go down much quicker, if we have more DPS, and that should leave us with less healing reuquired.

Vel there is no video in whic they say whic setup u should use.As we are new to the raid we have no clue how much healing dps will be needed.And tbh half of raid haven't watched videos for firts 4 boss.
From the video u shold learn mechnaics, how to deal with them and general idea how to defete boss with some modificitanos for our team.

Yes I understand that. But watching a video of tactics (Take this one for example).

They take 2 tanks, 2 healers, 6 DPS.

And as you can see in the video, they do not have any overlaping waves of adds. So you know that they have enough DPS to do that.

When we go with something differant (Intill we overgear it ofc) chances are you cannot follow the vids going with a differant setup.

Like the way we was doing it last night, the 2nd group when they would have gone to the second tower, would have been 2 healers up, 1 tank and 1 dps. 100% wipe due to dmg from it taking too long.

I know what you are saying about us not knowing, but if we are watching a video from people that HAVE killed it, surley we should not just follow the tactic, but the setup too, and if we cannot down it we are doing something wrong.

Just seems pointless to watch a video and say, yeah we will do what they do for that, but not this (the setup)

Sorry if my post comes accross arsey, it really is not ment to be that way.

I just think if we are going to follow guides, follow them right and it makes it easier to find out what is going wrong.

And lets face it, nobody like wiping on a boss, so lets improve our chances from the start ;)

And yes I know it was my bad last night, I honestly did not exspect us to get to/past the 4th boss on the first night, so I slacked :(

Well it was kinda hard to follow strategy cow posted today yesterday.
It's nice that people are discusing tatcis.

Yesterday we weren't really prepared for fight so kinda hard to expect it getting it down(it's not a hard fight as far as i can see).
And just so u know that we modifed yesterday team and 2 healers were down and 1 healer on second tower.(i've kinda guessed dps should get that boss on second tower really fast so i sent eddio up i think).
And it was not only you i wathed half of video for 5th boss.No one was prepared.(I thnk only elgringo watched whole fight).

Tbh, I think we have fine DPS to do it this way aswell... We have some pretty strong AoE DPS, and our waves didn't overlap THAT much, from what I remember ... So 1 extra DPS might actually do the trick? I'd say try 2 healers, and see how it goes. Then split up the team like they did.

And as stated, noone was expected to get that far, so quick ... So I hadn't really looked into tactics for those bosses at all.


[EDIT] ... Also, you can't expect to follow same setup as another grp, and it will work ... For all we know these people might be fully Heroic 2/2 geared.... And also better players :P But I don't see why it wouldn't work :)

Very true, but you can adjust for that if needed after :)

Thats why me personaly, I think for progression you should always take your 'A Team'

In DS when we got to spine I was always bitching how we should have out best players in for a progression fight, so feel like me being taken making it a 3rd healer is only hurting you guys. I want nothing more than them shiny epics and that first kill, but I dont like gimping people, and we all know Cow and sucker can run circles around me.

Not my fault Druids are stupid OP this tier so far :P

FYI Vel, your ilvl is higher than Cow now......

He does have the legendary metagem and cloak though.

I know :p I'm not saying they are better because of gear :p I'm ok to admit when people are better players than me :)

(Just not used to it haha)

I mean gimmped because I still have not found my 'zone' with the paladin changes, not gear etc. I miss my HR > HR > LoD spam :( hehe, oh and I miss haste, god how I miss it.

How can one miss HR spam... Was soooo boring!

I had great enjoyment beating other paladins HR spam ranks :p
