Was giving some tips to Harder yesterday, but realized it was a little too much to just whisper. So I figured I'd just make a forum post about it. Happy to take feedback on this btw :>
Since brf got released the secondary stats are so much more in line with fury that it outscales arms on both single target and aoe really. Which is also the reason I dropped arms for prot. Been putting alot of time into getting the most out of fury warrior, especially since joining you guys.
Its a very unstable class and so requires alot of switching between talents and glyphs.
I use one macro which is my opener. Its pretty simple and im sure it might be improved but it basically pops all instants in one go.
/cast bloodbath
/cast recklessness
/cast berserker rage
/use 13
/use 14
/cast Storm Bolt
/cast draenic strength potion
The idea is if you prepot it wil ignore the potion, which is fine. Other then that it pops all your instants and casts stormbolt while you charge in.
I include the potion because that allows me to use this exact same macro in the execute phase. I keep the seperate abilities on my bar as well to keep track of them.
For talents I use the following as a standard:
http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/tool/talent-calculator#ZZa!1010210!QcUKpO
Glyphs in this case are not very important, unless you have a boss where you need to interrupt in that case glyph of rude interruption is a must.
I only really switch out two talents based on if it is an aoe fight or single target:
1 Target
Basically warrior is a prio skill selection now instead of a rotation. Single target dps is determined by your opener and your closer. Mid fight you completely collapse, the better gear you get the less you collapse but compared to your opening and closing dps your midfight dps is always going to be shit.
This is why you need to get as much out of your opening and closing phase as you can to make your overall dps on the fight be ok. BH is the perfect example of where this does not work, you can have a killer opener, but you need near 100% uptime to minimize the collapse which is not possible on that fight and why I hate blizz for making it that way it makes me look bad :P
Anyway, Ill take Gruul, Ore, Kromog, BH are the fights for this. Gruul and Kromog being best for warr output.
Prepot, charge / Pop everything macro. Always start with a BT after this to trigger whatever you can. Try to use proccs only untill you get to near full rage. This means free wildstrikes / executes/ raging blows ( raging blows are always ok because they use little rage) Once you get to near full rage make sure you are Enraged and start dumping. This all in all will give you the strongest opener you can get by the time you dumped your rage your cds will have probably faded.
And its time for midfight. Midfight you need to spamm anything you can. Spend rage to make as much use of anger management and get your Bloodbath back. This will help you minimize your midfight collapse. once bloodbath is back up see that you have a couple free skills to spamm then pop it seperately from your other cds.
If you pop it again make sure the boss is still above about 35%. You need about 15% boss hp to get bloodbath back up again and you want to pop that simultaniously with your other cds on execute phase.
Execute phase is simple its like that for every fight wether aoe or not. You pop everything macro( make sure before 20% hits you are at full or near full rage) and start executing. Only BT in between when you do not have enough rage and stormbolts or other free abilities to save rage. Nothing else that costs rage is allowed :P
On aoe fights you could in between do a BS when you are rage starved to keep dps up and get to near full rage again.
2 targets
Switch storm bolt for dragon roar. (I do not change the macro because you want control over dragon roar so you only use it when hitting 2 targets).
Glyph of raging wind is a must. As long as you can hit both targets you BT to trigger RB. Other then that WW, to make your RB hit additional targets. RB to (thanks to the glyph) make your next WW do 10% more dmg.
In between you can use free wildstrikes to save rage untill you can hit both targets again. But make sure you never reach full rage so dump in between with wildstrikes.
Hans and franz / flamebender are typical fights for this
3 or more targets:
For this switch out Bloodbath for Bladestorm, and storm bolth for dragon roar. Good for trash and heavy aoe fights.
Naturally you want glyph of raging wind in combination with this. Other then that feel free to choose. I usually go with Rallying cry so I get more out of rallying cry/ enraged regeneration combo. And glyph of unending rage so I can save up more for execute phase.
prepot, pop macro, bladestorm -> dragon roar when it ends and WW, RB spamm for days. Naturally keeping BT on cooldown, and using the free wildstrikes when you can to save up rage for your WW, RB.
If you happen to notice you still have alot of rage even tho you are WW,RB ing put in some wildstrikes to dump rage.
You always want to dump as much rage as you can because of anger management.
Maidens and Thogar are the perfect fights for this. You could also use this on Blast furnace. But I prefer the 2 target build for that so I have more dps on priority targets. Even tho my overall for the fight will be lower then.
For thogar you need to time it right I do not pop the macro on pull on that fight. I pop it on the first reinforcements. The BS dragon roar and its all dead.
Next BS DR I use on the first split. Last on the second reinforcements, not popping anything.
Pop macro for execute phase and happy days.
Think that coveres most of it. It might be a bit messy post and ill edit it at some point but im at work and im a pretty chaotic person alltogether :P If questions or feedback lemme know plox
