'Like you all know, Icon Kazzak is a guild based around a single 10-man raiding team with as few rotations/backups as possible.

Many socials and people that have recently joined us have shown interest to raid in Cataclysm.
Together with alts of the raiders, there should be enough players for a second raidteam to go on off-nights.
However, this is something that the Officers will not take upon themselves to either raidlead nor arrange.
Our focus will be on the main team and the main team only.

Should anyone among the rank of socials feel up to the task to arrange a second raidteam, you are more than welcome to do so.

The main team is already set and is made up of the following raiders:

I'm ok to organise, arrange, get the knowledge and raidlead second team if needed :)

And need to practise/sort my off spec! Least I have tanked warrior (vanilla) and druid (5mans) so should be ok!!

Don't worry too much on your offspec mate, it is not likely we'll need you as tank that often, at least not to begin with.

It seem I need to clarify something as I got word about some sulking in guild chat, I'm not gonna tolerate that!

To be harsh but honest, we are not gonna take some of the old Icons into the main raid team in the horde guild even if we have a vacancy. The raidsetup will be a min/max team more then "bring the player". There is only so many of each class we can take, and the raidteam is already full. We are trying to keep rotations to a minimum and expect close to 100% attendance. We have already asked a few we know to be of the skillevel we want and the rest of the planned raidsetup is recruited from guilds other than Icon. We want the raidteam to be able to advance fast and all the players to be on equal terms, and to be even more honest, some Icon Wildhammer raiders are just not cut out for what we aim for.

You might look upon this as an elitist view, and you are 100% correct. We want this 10man to be a well oiled team of players at the same skillevel who is able to progress within a very limited amount of raidtime. This breaks away from the original Icon ideas of a more casual approach and a 2/3 attendance rule, but that is the plan we have for the horde guild. Again, Icon Kazzak is an extension of Icon and a separate entity and was never ment to be a replacement.

Any upcoming vacancies in the raider setup will open for both external and internal recruitment. If we see potential internally, we will ask you to apply for trial on that spot. If we haven't asked, then we probably don't feel you are a good fit for the team.

Should be able to make 3/3 but as i see we have 13/10 so some rotation may be needed.
My sincere request to ppl organising the raid: please let the team be known in advance (1 day prior to raid would be awesome) so people can plan their evening. For me, you can assume i'm there unless otherwise specified in this forum.

Since the calendar contains a raid tonight, what encounter(s) should we read up for?
Tbh, i think some raiders are not geared for it yet, but let's see if we can prove skill > gear.

We are entering Blackwing descent, so the first 2 bosses in there would be enough. Magmaw is apparently optional. While we might not be geared for it yet, we have full signup and I really wanna have a sneak peek into the new raid content. Even if we get pwned to bits, it will still be fun and might motivate some people to work harder on gear.

If the bosses and trash in there mock us too much, we`ll just sniff around for a while do some trashpulls and then maybe split up in two 5mans for HC farm.
