Hey Guys & Gals,

I'm very sorry to have to say that I will be stepping down as GM & Raider of Icon, for the near future at least.

As some of you may know, for some years now I have been trying to look after my Mum who has been fighting cancer, and even put my life on hold to move down to the other end of the UK to care for her. Well, its come to light over the last few days that the cancer seems to be now spreading at a very fast rate and basically, to cut the whole story short, there isn't much time left for her... could be days, could be weeks if we are lucky.

So, due to this I'm going to have to hang up my leather gear and concentrate on helping her out whilst she still has some time left, and then deal with the whole sorting out and selling up process that follows, along with me eventually trying to get back a bit my life again.

I may fill in the odd raid when I can, I may not... I may be back, I may not... as this point in time I don't have a clue what is going to follow.

So, I just wanted you guys to know, Just incase I don't come back to raiding, that its been an extreme pleasure to raid with you all, and to be a part of the Icon family over the past 7 years, or however long it has been. Playing with you guys has basically been my escape from the very depressing world I have been living in for a long time now, and I thank you all... and love you all, you are my family.

I will be handing over the GM role to Hog, and I thank him so much for taking this role over, and I know he will look after you all. so please go easy on him :)

I'll try my best to keep in touch with everyone, atleast via these forums, and ofc a lot of you guys I will keep in touch with outside the game.

I know its seems like a final good bye, and I'm sorry for that, but as it stands I don't have a clue, so I'd rather say my bit now just incase.

Anyhow, take care everyone, I hope I see you all again soon

Very sorry to hear this, you will be missed a lot, at least I will miss you. But in the end, real life problems and family comes first, and big kudos to you for doing this!

I will look forward to talking to you the odd times you pop on.

Sorry to hear the about the situation of your mom. I lost my father in a similiar way .
Be strong and try to give her some confort at this stage...Praying also can help and give some conmfort to you and her.

I have no idea what to spend the money on at the moment, as I've been kinda brain numb all week, but I know I'm definitely going to treat my mum's dog (Cindy) to a nice big fat dog chew or something, she has been so lost for the last few weeks and she is still sitting waiting for my mum to come back home to her.

haha i hate whiskey too hoggy, give me vodka anyday :P, enjoy it gringo, i know u wont as much as u would under normal circumstance but never the less u deserve it :) and p.s ur dog looks like a ball of cotton wool O.o hehe
