Every so often I make a rant post about individual performance, unfortunately I don't have time to do that right now. However, please take a look at these logs from AskMrRobot. You can score yourself against everyone else and against other people in the raid. If you are LOW then you need to FIX something!

For example!!!!

On Kromog we scored 6.3 as a raid (which is pretty poor). My personal performance is 8.4 which is better but still not good enough for me. Not going to pick on any person here, but PLEASE check yourself out.

But, Scummybear was 9.8 there, now THAT is where I want to see people!

I think it's taking into account convulsive strikes and dark hunt but you get zero because you didn't get any of them at all. It's a beta, it will improve I'm sure.

Like anything of this nature, the numbers are never to be taken in isolation. We're not going to use a single raid to decide if someone is shit. But. if you consistently every week get bad numbers, then something needs to be changed.

Still first time on all of the fights for me as I had to use new talents just to look over these and improve from here

Is the boss analysis still in beta? That would explain some things.

I also (re)learned one thing; that I dps-ed down my hand too fast, that won't happen again.

Now let me rant a bit because that average score, OMG so missleading. Lets analyse the analysis for me for the linked fight.
I got an average performance score of 2.8/10 on the kill. Granted, I was a bit low on dps and I will change a talent to try to fix that a bit. That set me back 1.6 average score points. Next misstake I did was a mother of all that is evil cuz it set me back 2.9 points ON AVERAGE; I forgot to use my combat potion. This almost never happens, so I am a bit surprised, but not as surprised I am to what extent AMR values this bit of extra dps. The second misstake, as I mentioned above, was that I killed my grasping hand too fast so I got a lot of damage from the Thundering Blows. This misstake was worth another deduction of 2.8 points on average. Nevermind that there a 5 different sources of avoidable damage and I completely avoided the other 4 sources, including Reverberations that are so annoying for Arcane.

Don't get me wrong, I like the boss analysis and so, but the average score is massively missleading, at least in this case. At least they got it right on Gruul :D

Need to figure out how to analyse this. Will do when I get home. Atm I'm in a hotel in Farum, near Kopenhagen. Freaking Denmark.

Yes, we really need to do something about our awareness, it's pathetic and not getting us the mythic kills.

Think I did pretty good overall. When it's green I'm happy. I still dunno how they calculate the scores tho. Because on some bosses I score low, but are very low on avoidable as well and don't do much stupid stuff tbh.

It tells you the scores somewhere. You score better for prepotting for example which is probably a stupid thing to count on healers.

Yeah, that is stupid. Same with hps, but if you use 4 (or in our case 3,5) healer for a small team, the individual hps drops. I'll just look now if I could avoid more dmg.

Nevertheless, I hope more raiders look into this. Because some really need to improve their self. Otherwise I'm gonna name and shame them next time :p

Like I said at the start of this thread, the numbers shouldn't be taken in isolation. Avoidable damage is probably a pretty accurate thing to look at though. But I'm sure there will be cases where it's an unfair number to use.

Agree that some people need to shape up though.

If my point got through in my previous post, I think the overall number can be greatly missleading. It is a straight average of the individual scores listed to the left of the average (which is all wrong based on the metrics chosen), which themselves seems to be scewed imo. On some fight I noticed that one of the avoidables was pulled to form a score of its own, which seems to be a good thing. On the other hand, the information is available and presented in a really nice format, so there is good info to pull from these analyses.

I disagree with you officers to not naming (though I agree on the shame thing). Constructive critisism is always a good thing. It might also be that you have missinterpreted the data (imagine that ;) ) and that the person in question disagrees. We are all better off the sooner such missunderstandings get cleared up. I mean, in the normal case there is no missunderstanding from your side and the sooner the raider in question understands that a change is required the better.

Obviously this is still in beta etc etc, even if it were accurate i think this tool's greatest value is that it will push people to do better. Atleast i hope it will, and then after a couple of weeks we might have an indication of the motivation of our members and applicants to do so.

A bit of competition might be healthy :)
