OK Icons, we're back and we're planning on kicking some ass in this expansion. I think we can agree that (apart from the buggy release) that the new expansion is really great so far, so we are hoping raiding will be equally good.

With that in mind, we need to hit the raids with FOCUS, SKILL and a DESIRE to kill bosses. If you need help gearing up in the next couple of days, just ask and you will get help. Otherwise, please make sure you have these as a MINIMUM for Wednesday if you want to raid:

1. 625 ilvl - Personally I prefer 630 or above, it makes a HUGE difference.
2. FLASKS - No excuse to forget these, they're not expensive.
3. POTIONS - More expensive, but I want to see people pre-potting and potting later in the fight.
4. FOOD - Take at least a stack of your most appropriate food. We will try to provide some feasts, but please bring some along if you have them.
5. CLASS KNOWLEDGE - You've all had enough time to learn how to play your class and understand your new skills. Please read up your relevant class guides.
6. DEDICATION - Last of all, you need some of this. Remember that we will wipe a lot - this is what makes bosses fun! Facerolling everything would be pretty boring, but don't get pissed off if we wipe.

Be warned, if you don't have these, or if you are holding us back, we will be forced to remove you. This is REALLY simple with normal/heroic raiding, as the bosses scale down nicely, so you won't be missed! I don't want to have to do this, so please don't give me any excuse.

On the subject of flasks/pots/food/etc., if you have spare mats to make any of these, please dump them in the guild bank and we will ensure they are used for raiding. This is NOT an invitation to dump and old crap in there, I will slap you if the bank fille with crap!

can see the chain mechanic being a bit of a pain at first as we wont have any timers because dbm wont have updated so melee will all be getting thrown up there as looking like stands team will have to move in and mele move out

and tectus looks totally hectic!

Before he casts Chain hurl and throws the five closest players up to the terass, the boss do a little knock back. Don´t have your back against any pillar or pit. It will hurt a lot with pillar or instakill if you get in in the pit.

Looking at various post on The Butcher, it seems he has a VERY tight enrage timer (5 minutes!) so high sustained DPS is a must. It looks like we need to average between 18k and 20k dps. Just to ward off any potential QQ later on tonight I want to say this:

On some fights (like above) we may be forced to remove low performing people to be able to get the kill. This isn't a measure of your skill/ability, but you may be lacking gear, enchants etc. If this happens to you, please don't get concerned but instead use it as an opportunity to figure out what you were doing wrong (if anything) or what you can do to improve your gear. There's lots of people in the guild who are willing to help out.

* Get your legendary ring.
* Make sure every part you have is at least heroic.
* Try out challenge modes, you get 640 epics (and maybe 646!) and you don't need to get a medal to get the quest reward.
* LFR will open next week
* Craft gear! It's free if you craft it yourself.
* We will run some normal mode Highmaul this weekend to help everyone gear up.

Bottom line: If you are struggling, just ask for help - there's no shame in it, especially now when people are still learning their class and don't have great gear.

I love the sound of this expansion... ANd I hate it :P I have a HUGE urge to play again... FML!!!! ....

I'm going to see if I can get better work hours, or different sleeping patterns :P Although I'd still be way behind, it could still be fun :)

The game is great for casual play, just come on any time, doesn't matter about your hours.

Pssh ... Never been a fan of casual :P

They changed Heavy handed in a hotfix:

"The Butcher's Heavy Handed ability now deals less damage if it's triggered by their off-hand weapon."

Seems it was doing more dmg then intended. Might explain why i went splat from 40% hp to 0 a couple of times, which should not happen tbh.
