So... Since cata i have not really farmed any gold (It was not needed, as i had a nice amount from wrath, around 70k)

But i am now down to 2k :o and REALLY need to level my proffs as quick as i can.

So does anyone have any advise on how to make some gold? I tried mining/herbing the other day, but the mats sell for next to nothing, and there seems to be people everywhere.

So looking for some advise on how i can make around 30k as quick as i can.

I was thinking about farming as many mats as i could for Viral of the sands mount (I have the recipie) and making a few of them and selling them. Only problem is you need alot of gold to make it in the first place.

In wrath i used to farm BC dungeons for gold, but thats pretty slow and takes alot of farming.

So, any ideas? (Other than standing in Org spamming "gold pl0x") :p

JC with Enchanting is a really good combo, altho considering you only have 2k atm, id not recommend doing that yet ofc

But with what you have right now, id say mine some elementium and sell it, herb some and have someone in guild make you flasks, put a few on side for yourself, sell the rest (Flask of Draconic Mind sells really nice)

So abuse mining/herbing for now till you get to around 20k, then do some low lvl mining and level JC if you dont have yet, that alone could get u started, and if youre bothered to get enchanting aswell on some alt, you can make greenies with JC and disenchant them for some really kickass enchant mats (can also make scrolls, some sell really neat)

Well, i can already make flasks :) So looks like ill be doing that for abit then :) Cheers.

Forgot to add, i did try fishing/making buff food. But didn't seem to sell. So now i have like 20 stacks of buff food lol

Farming lowlvl dungeons gives a bit of gold pretty quick too. Not sure how fast it is compared to farming flasks etc.

Ive tried Hellfire, and i was only getting about 250-300g an hour (That includes vendoring everything when my bags was full too)

I wonder if it would be better to farm the trash in say nexus, as more gold drops per mob, and the greens/greys sell for more to vendor too. May have to give it a try.

A quick way to get u started with a lot of gold so u dont torture yourself with farming is to abuse your alts . Selling boe valor points boots /bracers right now can provide a nice and quick profit (12k worse case scenario for a pair of boots atm). u only need to do a few heroics that take no more than 15min each and are alot more pleasant than farming.

Best way to make gold is not to spend it for anything!

There is definitly nothing close as boring in game than farming herbs or mining. Buy/sell AH is less time consuming. Gems work great for that. You just have to find the good timing.

There are so many ways to make gold nowadays... I tried a couple of things and I can't complain about my financial situation :D

From what I've tried up to now:

- mining and herb became much better after 4.3 came out. Prices for ores went up 3 times at least - now they started dropping again. For herbs, the same situation, although the prices didn't go up that much

- Jc works really well if you also have alchemy - master transmuter. Red gems sell like crazy. You can also get a nice profit from selling epic gems, but you constantly have to check the AH for undercutting. I have sold over 20 epic gems (this time not the rd ones - they aren't worth it) with at least 500 gold profit/cut. Another thing that worked great a while ago were the meta gems - nowadays didn't cut them anymore, so not sure...

- enchanting works really good also. With one mention: prices went up the roof, so you need quite a high initial investment. As a side note, it works GREAT with jc also (you prospect ores, make rings/necks with gems, de them).

-inscription works nice if you have time to camp the AH. I gathered a nice sum with it. But when I could stay close to the AH. There are 2 or 3 guys that constantly undercut you. So it is time consuming...

- shuffling works nice... meaning you buy things and change them into other things (like ores turned into enchanting mats) - but for this you need to study the market, sometimes it's worth it, other times not so much

- use Trade Skill Master Addon - it ROCKS !!! you can use it tu buy mats, make crafting queues, disenchant, mail etc.

- as for the price sources, i'd recommend The Undermine Journal

-reselling vendor things is also a nice way to make gold if you don't have money to invest (buy recipes for 2silver and sell them for 200g = win). You can sell all the things you could imagine: from reagents to recipes and pets.

These are just a few of the things I played with - and I did make a lot of money. With my druid I made over 100k only with jc and alchemy since 4.3 came out. It's all about finding what works at some point and what doesn't...
