Very strange story happened to my Aunt the yesterday.
My aunt has a hospital appointment due in the next few days, and she had to phone the hospital consultant to arrange a time to go in or something. So yesterday she phoned the hospital consultant, and got the consultant's answer phone... so she left a message
About 30min later, she got a call from someone saying that he got the message on his phone and it was the wrong number, and as it seemed like a hospital appointment message he thought he would ring back as it was probably important she knew she phoned wrong number
During the brief chat with this guy, she said "Oh, I'm sorry, which number did I ring then?" to which he replied "this is Mr Chapman at the number ....", and he gave his number
Anyhow, it was left there, she thanked him... and they both hung up
She looked up the number she should have rung, and it was totally different... different area code, totally different number and everything, not just a simple 1 digit mistake or anything.
2min later, the hospital rang to say they got the message and its all sorted for her!
... so 2 people got the telephone message (and thats only the start of something strange)
So... she phones my Mum and tells her the story about how odd it was, and gave her the 2 numbers to show her how different they were and it turns out that the number of "Mr Chapman" (which also happens to be my mother/Aunt's maiden name) is the number of their brother Keith who (due to some family fall out years ago) they both haven't spoken to in 20 years, and my Aunt didn't even have his number ;P
Anyhow... I thought it was very strange, so thought I'd share it with ya all ;)
