Last night, when I logged on, I was told that the alt run was full on dps. I didn't know what to say, I guess I was a bit chocked and sad. This is not what the alt runs are to me. Its about having a good time together with relaxed raiding. I've never seen or heard of any alt runs where we shut experienced raiders out. Also, I was told that the minimum iLvl was 665 (I was on a 662 iLvl alt at the moment, but that is besides the point). In retrospect I should have made more noise about it but I guess I was just sad and after a little while pissed; since I was not wanted in the guild raid I found a pug instead.

This is not what this guild is about to me. You don't treat members like that. I've always been loyal and have brought my main in into the alt runs when we start to struggle. I am pissed of by being treated like this and I do hope that it is not condoned by all the leaders of the guild.

How on Earth did I treat you badly? You logged in much later than everyone else and I had filled the raid with pugs. We had 9 DPS, 3 healers and a single tank. To add another DPS would mean we would need another 2 healers. So yes, we were full on DPS. Had you logged in 15 minutes earlier there would have been no problem. Do you think I should have kicked someone else to get you in?

As for ilevel, I stick by my decision for 665 as a minimum. Quite frankly I would have preferred it to be higher. It was not a boost run.

Finally I only did this to help people gear up and I got thanks from only a single person. Well from now on, count me out of all non-official raids. I'll go to the pub instead which I turned down tonight to help out.

I have no problem with the iLvl requirement. Maybe I wasn't clear on that point. I have myself been in too many alt raids that have been wipe raids because too low geared players have been invited.

Apparently we have different views about the alts raids. In my view it is relaxed raiding, having a cold beer and some fun with the guildies with a "the more the merrier" attitude. Besides, with pugs, the problem with having too many ppl usually sorts it self out sooner rather than later. Would a 2/4/10 setup be that much worse than a 2/4/9 setup?

In the end I think that this is a missunderstanding based on our different views of the raid. You seem to see this as a yoke, having to gear players, while I see it as a social event. Thats why I was dissapointed, to be shut out of a social event in the guild.

Anyway, I had to express my dissapointment and I tried to do so in a civilized manner. It is important that we can discuss differences in opinion and I'd wish that you don't take this as an excuse to shun alt raids.
