Haha the rule is just to sign a day in advance, nobody said about posting in advance if you dont know. I just re-checked, you are right you signed last night on-time :)

I support your afirmation Fibre. Sanji, stop doing this dictatorial rules, or guild will lose more than 2 k gold.
There are many, many, many reasons for us to be casual , and this includes raiding.

if you sign in advance, we get a good view of the roster in advance and can discuss it before the raid properly. If you want to waste my time every fucking time by having to ask people about their attendance, then yeah.. let's stop. but you aren't doing this shit and dont have to worry about it.

Let me just whatsapp 29 people every fucking raid how their attendance would be, maybe a better idea. Why was the calendar even designed? No idea. I mean two clicks to confirm your attendance is too much right, lets just have the officers ask every raider.

You guys might have not noticed, but I always try to swap my shifts around just to play this silly game with you, once if I cant (even thou u have tons ppl signed up) you start giving me this bullcrap :D Believe me, I cant care any more less now. You are missing the point, what sanji was saying you need to set the calendar invite to something 24hrs before the raid. As in accepted or declined and if you set declined post here on absence forum for reason its just disrespectful if you do not set the calendar status at all.

If you have accepted and something comes up, as soon as you can use whatsapp or the absence topic to notify others that you cant make it. Then when you log on computer the next time update absence topic with some details why you had to cancel at the last minute.

Does not sound too bad does it? will make running the raids so much smoother and raid leaders dont have to wonder if someone is coming or not.

Also just a note that most of us are adults and have alot things to do other than wow and spend alot of effort to clear the schedules for raid times, so please don't expect a medal for doing the same as others.

Go back and read all the replies on this topic, you are not understanding things, like there is a reply from saga saying you are fine and no penalty as you did sign 22hrs before(even if the rule is 24 we aint dicks). Then arkkan jumping the band wagon and flaming about the need to sign in general and also too late as your issue was already resolved.

So just chill man and keep signing in advance as its required by everyone who wants to be a raider.

Yeah, chill ppl. I would like to voice my opinion here as I can see that this issue stirs up emotions.

This is just a game but the players in the guild are people and its out of respect for each other that we should make an effort to keep the calendar as updated as possible. From what I see we all agree on that.

To fine players for late updates is problematic in my view. It will easily invoke a negative atmophere into the guild. Also, it is very important that these fines are strict and enforced without exemption. I think that the rules for not bringing enough food, runes etc to the raids is an example of this. It is not enforced equally for everyone and thus easily becomes a source for mistrust, grudges and a sense of unfair treatment. EP rewards for being early to the raid is on the other hand a good example, that brings a positive feedback into the ranks.

It's funny how you start speaking up when you clearly have no clue how the system works. Let me explain it again for you, and for everyone else who is reading this topic.

First things first, we set calendar invites to get a rough estimate of who is showing and how the raid setup would be for that night; if it looks grim, we'll plan accordingly as we probably wont expect things to go better and we will start messaging the back-up raiders.
The reason why we want everyone to sign is because it's a simple few clicks per raid, and saves massive effort if only one player is doing.
For the past few weeks, there has always been players that have no signed so I always find myself WhatsApping these players or sending an ingame calendar to ask about their situation because for that matter, someone could have work on that night or a wedding etc and have been delaying the signing because they want to first write absence or w/e. There are players here right now in this chat alone already who I have whispered about their status.

Asking a few people per raid gets kinda tiring and is absolutely unnecessary. Therefor, those who cant take the time to do so get a penalty.

On the other hand, life is unexpected sometimes and plans don't always work out, especially when you have a work that can call you at any time. If you do happen to be absent, then you will primarily go to the forums to try and post in your absence topic no matter what time it is. If that doesn't work, you will post in the WhatsApp group chat for everybody to see (no personal whatsapps).

Then we can sign you off and for your information, we plan raid always according to some people bailing last second (that's just the way it is).

As for Celvink here, I have already said I made a mistake in double checking and have said that it's okay. The 24 hours in advance doesn't exactly mean 24 hours in advance; It just means you need to do it the night before the actual raid day as I always check sign-ups after I wake up in the morning.

I personally feel that this discussion is full of ignorance. I don't see any valid reason for any raider to complain about setting a status at least the night before the raid. If you don't, it's the appropriate penalty you get:

1. 300 EP -- because you are a slacker.
2. 2000 G -- so we can have more guild repairs

Keep in mind that we are providing free repairs, pots and flasks to everyone. This is not free and not an endless source. The gold is used for this and not to our own pockets.

Free flasks and pots? That's news to me :D

What makes you say this? We always try to do our utmost best to ensure that everyone who doesn't have food and can't get it asap has to buy a stack from the guildbank for 150 GP. Although currently, Cibos is the only example of who had to do this.

Ok, to be fair I get a sense that it is not enforced 100%. People w/o food ask around for food so that people start to make food for them etc, thus wasting time. There were also many raids were some raiders contiguosly used feasts even though they were told not to, because they didn't have any 125 food.

Yes, you are right with the feast. However this was before we enforced the rule more strictly with GP. We also noted this rule within the general raid rules topic as you may have read. We are more strict in this matter now than before and will make sure you won't feel like we aren't enforcing it properly.

Currently, the time it takes for us to trade the food to them and give them +150 GP is the same time or even longer than if someone else would trade them. Of course this is up for discussion if there are players that think we should still enforce the +150 GP instead of allowing others to trade food to them (although I would think people would just whisper instead of saying it on TS) before they run out of food.
We permitted this as it might cause unnecessary friction as some players just forget sometimes.
