Written guide: http://www.wowhead.com/guides/raiding/blackrock-foundry/kromog-strategy-guide

Mythic Kromog introduces a new mechanic, the Rune of Trembling Earth/ Call of the Mountain interaction.

-Rune of Trembling Earth: Kromog channels the earth, causing massive pillars to erupt for 146250 to 153750 Nature damage. These pillars will recede back into the earth unless shattered.
-Call of the Mountain: Inflicts 1170000 to 1230000 Physical damage to enemies within line of sight.

Shortly after the first Thundering Blows, and every 3 minutes thereafter, Kromog will begin to channel Rune of Trembling Earth. While channeling, several small spikes of earth will rise up from the ground, damaging and knocking back nearby players. He will also summon three large, attackable Stone Pillars, one each on the left, right, and middle regions of the encounter area.

Players must shatter the Stone Pillars by depleting their health within 15 seconds, or the Pillars will return to the earth. After the 15 seconds have passed, Kromog will cast Call of the Mountain three times, dealing fatal damage to any players within sight. To avoid this damage, players should line-of-sight the ability by ducking behind a shattered Stone Pillar.
If players have not shattered all three Pillars, the raid will wipe.

After each Call of the Mountain, Kromog will cast Rippling Smash, targeted at one of the three Stone Pillars at random. This will destroy the Pillar, leaving fewer Pillars behind which to LOS the next Call.

To execute this phase properly, assign the raid's DPS to each of the three Pillars, ensuring that DPS are evenly distributed so that all three Pillars will die. Since it is random which Pillar Kromog will attack with the Rippling Smash, be sure to have a Stampeding Roar available in case players must run long distances to reach the next Pillar.

Healers may wish to save healing CDs for after the Trembling Earth phase has ended, as Kromog may channel Stone Breath while tanks get back into range.

P.s. the guide from consequence is very nice, second of all, with Excorsus Raid Tools (addon) we can assign spots for the hands so we all have our own fixed spot.

Some quotes from forums:
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Everyone hops on 1st pillar.

If first is middle, melee goes to the 2nd pillar and ranged to the 3rd one.
If first is left or right, melee goes to middle.

We leave a warrior on the first for executes. Chain 2 foxes from when the 2nd pillar is about to spawn.

Ranged usually just throws dots on the melee pillar.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We have 3 groups assigned to a certain pillar (grp1 left, grp2 mid + grp3 right). We aoe hands and break people out asap, then all switch to the first pillar that spawns, once there are 2 pillars alive, if one of those is yours you switch, if you're grp3, and only grp 1+2 are up its still free for all.

Its most effective to have all 3 pillars die at the same time, there is no point wasting gcds on execute to kill pillar 1, 10 seconds before pillar 3 if it has dots on it that'll kill it anyway. In short, for the first few seconds all dps should be on the first one that spawns, most of the dps should help on the second one, and save executes and touch of death for the final one to spawn to make sure it dies in time.

Roll aspect of the fox for as much of that phase as possible, and make sure you arn't doing stupid stuff like having 3 hunters all potting stampede on the same pillar in the same phase, manage CDs effectively (let boomkins blow up hands, and have everyone else on pillars) etc.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Pretty simple priority, everybody on the first pillar. If the second pillar is far away range go to it, if it's close melee go to it. Basically if the first pillar is on the side and the second spawns on the opposite side range get the second one, otherwise melee always jump to the second one. Don't stay on the first pillar until it's dead, a big portion of your raid should instantly be switching to the second one. Dots and maybe one person (like I said, we usually leave our tanks on the first) can finish it in enough time.

Leave an execute class, or simply your tanks on the first one to finish it off and make sure you use aspect of the fox.

Save CDs for first pillar phase and use potions on the second pillar phase. Pillars are honestly the only challenging part of the encounter, and once you consistently get through the first set you'll probably kill the boss soon. Second set is usually the easiest, and if you get a third set chances are the boss is low enough that you can just ignore them and kill him.

Balance druids are really amazing and can do a lot of damage to pillars, they can also do a lot of damage to hands. If they are popping CDs on hands though, they are likely doing it wrong. Hands are honestly very easy and are all about allocating people to decent places, and making sure that people don't break them too early.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I see you are 5 healing it. We 4 healed it on week 1, so I'm certain that will solve your enrage problem.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Resto druid can pop heart of the wild on first pillars and third pillars to do insane damage.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

- For hands, hunters @ corners, war/mage spread so they dont overkill stuff, melee in spots where hands are more tightly grouped. We assign people with poor AoE to single out hands that are hardly hit with aoe (typically corners and/or borders).

- For pillars, if first one is middle, everyone goes to middle until second spawns, where melee goes to 2nd and casters go to third. If first one is sided casters do it, melee handle the middle one and switch with casters to the third one.

Yes Prinsy, your tactic is flawless.

I need to add tho, only 1 important thing.
The position in the grasping hands should be done not in the center, but on the right side.
Reason: all the range and melee players, except tanks, are on the right side of the platform. Is much more easy to go to your spot and also to dps a bit more the boss.

Nothing else to add.
The pillars are the most difficult part of the fight, but in 10-20 tries we should be able to do it.

Good luck

I even see this tactic written down here, mixed into what was written on MMO.. But as I do enjoy my pictures, here is a simpletons tactic, for Pillars intermission on Kromog Mythic (=

We start by gathering up here on Green after the "Hands phase"

After and during spawning of the Actual pillars, just follow what is written below.

Just to add one more thing, as I saw yesterday, we always put healing tide down when pillar face hits. which is mostly not needed ( maybe when we get breath, maybe) Just something small that later could save us if we save it ( CD )

Also, could be stupid idea, but what if we use Healing cd at the start as breath comes till first hands/pillars, ( so it would reset by the and of the fight) And you are wondering why doing this ? Cuz this fight eats lot of mana, this way we could I guess save some mana when we hit 30%.

OK guys, we all need to look at ourselves to see how we can improve. For me there are a few obvious places.

1. Reverberations - Just avoid them! It's so damned easy. The average damage they do to you is around 200k and that's a shit tonne of damage that is easily avoided. So take a look here and if you are near the top, you know what you have to work on.

https://www.warcraftlogs.com/reports/B3g4NVcmCK9ad782/#type=damage-taken&boss=1713&wipes=1&ability=157247

2. Healing CDs under 30% - These clearly need to be sorted out. Can I ask healers to arrange it please? Talk to the tanks and sort out the strategy.

3. Runes - Those little hands, people are clearly obsessed with doing too much damage on them and often get people out too early. Please try to be aware, especially ranged. Not everyone needs to AOE them down, I didn't use mind sear AT ALL for the entire night, I just want boss dead, not to worry about rankings.

Anyway, we have good progress but this boss has a lot of personal responsibility so everyone needs to be focussed.
