Guys... I know the application wasn't the best but...
He's dyslexic (word blindness)... (as he states himself)...

Dyslexia, or developmental reading disorder,[1] is characterized by difficulty with learning to read fluently and with accurate comprehension despite normal or above-average intelligence.

Although I know his application is short, I was amongst the people he was playing with yesterday and I think he could use some further consideration... I don't think that putting the words "speechless, declined" in, is something we should do... It makes us sound bitchy tbh....

I'm not saying that the end-result wouldn't have been a decline... It's just the way how it was handled. The applications are publicly visable on the website and as such, they should contain a more "neutral" setting in which to tell the applicant he/she was rejected.

All the public stuff on the website represents Icon as a guild and "entity". I would have written a more neutral reject then that.
As Wheiler states as well, we have some declined apps before everyone has seen them. I don't want to look back and see if that was correct or not, but i propose we all discuss the applicant in the council forums first before issuing an outright reject. If we do a reject, it should be a neutral one in my opinion... Something like "I'm sorry to inform you that your application was rejected due to... (your current raiding experience/progress this tier)".

No one said I was pissed... As we all know, the written word is not the best way to convey emotions. As far as I read the previous post, I sense there's a lot of emotion involved as well... let's discuss this on TS tomorrow during the officer meeting as voice chat is a much better medium for that then the forums...
