Application is well written, obviously he spendt some time on it. As far as I know he was a decent player in Anguish. I spoke to some old friends, but guild was kinda new when he went on a break from raiding so few remember any specifics, at least nothing bad! Esie (CL of anguish) told me he wasnice bloke, a good player and in his opinion definitely a worthy trial at least.

Agree, very nice app indeed. My only concern is that he has never raided on the paladin, could he get bored of it quickly?

yepp indeed very solid app, My concern is A guy that has so many alts here and there aint to be trusted, slow progress here one or two weeks he might be gone, just my own experience with guys with to many alts to choose from...

might sound abit to sceptical, but thats just me.... He can also ofc be someone we could really need..

A just concern, but we always have you and Geko as healing backup should he go awol. ^^ Now if only Hog could get his thumb out of his b***hole and spend some time in holyspec we'd even have a 3rd backup :p

One thing tho before we recruit another healer who might be hard to force into a rotation, have you decided what to do Geko? If you prefer resto mainspec over enhance and want the healer spot 2/3, that could be done as well. Elder could play treedrood on your offday maybe?

recruitment thread turning in "push the Geks over the edge";)

I thought we want to recruit another main spec now, also to be less dependent on current tow main spec healers. Air to breath. Druid/Priest would certainly be best pic, just for diversity. Two shammy or paladin healers is certainly possible but not optimal.

Concerning myself, since you are asking. I would like to try enhancement at 85. Tbh, at 80 the spec is flawed. DPS is low compared to ranged after patch and some spells for rotations at 85 I only get at 81. If the "moderate" DPS issue does not resolve at 85 we gonna have a talk. Not very motivating feeling like a fifth wheel in the DPS departement and nothing can be do about it. The spec has some nice raid buffs.

I will have a resto spec in either case. I do like healing and I prefer healing over DPS in PvP. As I mentioned elsewhere it is unlikely I can join raids on sunday, pinning me down to 2/3 by default. You might want to consider taking another main spec healer with 3/3 attendance not to be blocked on sunday. Then again, two healers might be enough for most things.

I like this guy's app, very nicely written. Though my main concern is he doesnt seem to settle on a role/class, he seems to have gone from Rogg raiding, to mage and now suddenly decides he wants to heal for the next expansion.

It kinda makes me wonder if he will suddenly turn around and prefer to go DPS or something.

Well many good players reroll class each expansion to give the game that extra "new experience" feel to it, hopefully he sticks to 1 class each expansion. Also his reasons for changing class mid-expansion earlier could have been a reroll for guild need, hard to say. I suggest you ask him about it. We can communicate any concerns directly with the applicants now, just post a comment/question on his app. Alot of good info in the way the applicant answers direct questions. Good way to weed out primadonnas ^^

I have had some pm's back and forth with Leyó. Seems he might like to bring his priest to Kazzak and play Priest holy as main so that we have more diversity in the main healer setup. I think maybe that woudl be better then having two palas.

My vote is yes too, so unless there is any objections this is our new trial. The druid will be declined. Leyo will be playing his priest: new healer setup with Shammy, Pala, Priest looks good in my opinion.

I just want to have a chat with this guy ingame to make sure he knows what to expect before invite. Anguish was a very HC/Pro guild (server 3rd once, side by side with SlashCry) and he should be told that we might not be quite as fast on progression.

You missed your chance to learn to play your offspec :P

Maybe you did not notice the last part of this post

If we recruit another pala, Leyo decided to bring over his Priest (lvl80 fully ICC geared old main) to play holy so that we get more diversity in the healing deparment. He already played his priest in yesterdays raid, name: Lèyo

Argh, then stop editing your posts :)

Edited by Docile about 21 hours ago.... That's probably the reason I didn't see it!

I'd rather doubel post than something get missed. You seem to be a big fan of editing your posts. 6 posts in this thread and 4 of those have been editied - surely 66% is too high a ratio ;)

Sendt him this pm so that he knows what to expect:

Hi mate! Or maybe I should say Tjäna, but I'm norwegian so we'll keep this to english for simplicity;)

First off welcome to Icon! It can be confusing to enter a new guild not knowing who's who, I just wanted to give you some valuable information.

I suggest you read this post: http://iconguild.eu/forum_threads/619437

Icon Kazzak if a mix of socials and raiders most of which originates from the wildhammer guild that dates back to 2006. Some players are very solid bordering on pro, others are mediocre and some are just plain horrible - your typical guild made up of good friends. Some of these friends did raid with the old guild but they honestly don't cut it in our main raid team and will therefore not be joining us and stay social. Ignore any sulking on this (like from a player like Flummy/Flaxi, she is always pessimistic ^^), we have a clearcut set of goals and they know there were never promised raid spots (even if they are still hoping).

Our raider setup for cataclysm looks very strong (see post), they are all handpicked from old GMs/Offs/CLs and the best of the old core raiders. We will work hard on group cohesion and try to get a good/fun raiding experience in the nest expansion by only bringing people who know their shit (we are tired of all the random afks, lacking focus, missing buffs etc etc.). Like you I felt Anguish became a bit too HC for my liking, too many raid nights and too focused on climbing the realm list.

You should not expect as fast progression in Icon as in Anguish, but in return we are a very friendly bunch of good players who learn fast, forgive mistakes and try to get all then achivements worth doing done within a reasonable timeframe. Raiding should be a fun experience, not a second job.

Anything you need, just contact me mate! Cya ingame!

Answer:

Hey
Thanks for the invite, and yeah, lets keep it in english, norwegian is way too complicated for me to understand, strange language is strange

Yes, its confusing to join a new guild, but i like it, people seems to be really nice, and i feel very welcome, so its a good start

and yeah, i noticed some crying about raiding etc in the guild last night, and honestly, i dont care about that. Not really my problem to care about. usually there´s always some people crying about something within a guild, impossible to please every member in the way they want.

I like the guilds approach to raiding and progression, im aware i cant expect super fast progression etc, but i dont plan to get any server first or things like that, i raid for the fun, and i believe progression will come with that

oh and, the ?/3 after my name in the post you linked, i assume its how many raids/week i can attend, count me in on every raid.
and OS in the same post, i guess we will find out later on, as i said in my application, im comfortable playin both prot and ret.

again, thanks for the invite and the warm welcome, im pretty sure i will enjoy it in here, and hopefully you will enjoy having me around, the crazy Swede
