@ the haz: We just need to make sure he know that the main team is full and that there will not be a spot in the main raid for cataclysm. I'll talk to him ingame about it. I find it hard not to accept this application even if it was a bit unexpected.


I also wanna mention some other possible upcoming apps should IconWh disband (I checked the Wh roster for known names):

(Shana, Darkmoon and Hollow already mentioned in other post)

-Mr. Painsupression
-Vipernator
-Suikerspin (never spoken to him)
-Shammadam (if active in cata, I want him as healer!)
-Blizzer (might stay on Wh in his own guild, already left Icon)
-Yserius (no idea who this guy is, never played with him.
-Simildanach
-Nux
-The Guff?
-Sundeath
-Bebe

well, I guess its harsh to deny access to old icon members. In particular since this guild is called Icon and the entire concept is based on being sister guilds. Shutting your sister out of the playroom? My best guess is that players who are not loyal to Icon since long time will not even consider to switch over to Kazzak.

On the other hand you know my position with respect to the growing amount of socials and the overhead it might be creating. Thats a reason why I suggested to splitt Icon Kazzak into a social guild part and a raiding guild part. To mark clear and for eternity that the guild strategy of one 10man raid team will not change just because half of Icon WH is here now and the guild roaster shows 30 ppl who are eager to raid in cata. If the guild consist of 15 raid members and 30 socials something is looks very strange I think.

If you think it is possible to handle socials without significant overhead or nagging, I do not see a reason not to invite those guys. If they are happy with the social aspect only, do not cost resources to handle then go on.

The only one on that list that I wouldn't hesitate to invite is Nux.
Maybe Shammadam if we are in need of another shammie healer, but I think we are pretty well covered in that section?

The Kazzak guild was never meant to be a replacement, the basis of the guild is quite different although we have common roots/name/history. Having been a raider in the wildhammer guild by no means automatically grant you raider status here. They will at best be offered raid spots in the main raid if they are of the skill level we seek and we have a vacancy. If they are not good enough for the team in our eyes, they are welcome as socials, nothing more.

I'm gonna have no tolerance on anything that causes drama. By setting up clear rules (already in the "about" on the forum) and holding a firm line, no one whould be in doubt about what the guilds intentions are. If you nag, you're out. If you give us a bad name in social channels or PuGs, you're out. Socials should fend for themselves, I don't want anything to do with sorting out off-night runs or social events, and neither should the rest of the council.

Anyone inside the guild has the chance to prove themselves for the main raid team should we need a new player, but no preference will be given to a subpar player just because he/she is an Icon. We will look at external recruits if we don't have internal applicants that is up to snuff. If you can't pull your weight during encounters and hold the rest of the raid back, your not gonna be a part of the raid. Elitist thinking maybe, but I'm not gonna spend my time playing with bad players.

Harsh and honest; I don't wanna get into another Guff issue.
Dps is measureable! If you make the same mistake over and over/stand in fire - you lack raid awareness and are a bad player. If you choose to play an inferior raid spec just because it is more fun and gives you advantages in PvP - you are gimping yourself and holding back the rest of the raid.

I would NOT like to see Bebe here at all tbh... thats a girl who has several mains in several guilds, joined Icon WH as druid tank but failed just completely. then she went resto and I suggested a more suitable specc and approach to healing as a druid but she just didnt give a damn about it....

and one more thing she will bring as much yadayda as well 2 girls do buy just her self
