You may have spotted the guild achievment to disenchant 10000 items. Apparently it doesn't count if you press the DE button, it must be manualyl DE'd by the enchanter. So I suggest we only ever greed items and pass them on to an enchanter for now and all the mats go to the gbank.

might be easier to just pass. and only let the enchanter greed, so we can skip all the hazzle with trading items etc :p

Only boss that can be mined that I know of so far is the big stomping dude with the shatter in Stonecore, though this needs 530 skill i heard to mine, so maybe handy for any miners to carry some low lvl gloves with +mining enchant when ya go there.

Hi Hoggy,

First of all, i support this initiative.
I always greed on greens, then send to my alt-enchanter.
For blues, i am ok to pass while doing heroics for an echanter.

But, and here comes the but, i don't understand why we should put the shards into the guildbank then.
I'd say the people doing the heroic roll at the end for the shard(s) like in TBC.

Some people do 8-9 heroics per week, others do 0-1 per week. Would not be fair to put them into guildbank.
I would like shards for my alt-enchanter, so i would like to roll at the end of the heroic for the shards, like we used to do in good ol' TBC.

I thought we put the shards in the guildbank so we could all benefit from it. I put everything I get inthere, because I know I'll be calling on the services of an enchanter and rather than me either grinding for ages or pay an obscene amount at AH, the dear enchanter can grab the mats from the guildbank.
You know, greater good of the guild and what not...

Or am I completly wrong here?

Well I for one am not going to waste my time at the end of a run deciding who gets shards. Putting them in the guild bank is the easiest and fairest way to do this and all raiders benefit from that. People who do less runs to contribute towards that may do other things that help the guild or may do nothing, I for one couldn't care less. I don't play this game to get gold ro gear and if giving up some shards to the gbank is something worth doing, then I will do it without hesitation.

If you want to go back to TBC days, I say that we go back to then too. That way as the enchanter I will get all the shards for myself.

Well this is a bit off-topic, but since i started it, i better continue it: What are your ideas of the guildbank?
Can you write a bit about the guild's plan with it? As this is not clear to me.

Personally, i have taken some stuff from guildbank but i always felt sorry and deposited some gold in return. (don't want to live off other people's pocket)

My experience in Wildhammer Icon were: everyone deposited stuff, but hardly anyone took stuff out of it, because it wasn't clear what the rules were, so it got all cluttered up with (mostly useless) stuff. Maybe some Aldor/Scryer stuff changed hands, and some epic patterns, but that was about it. The only time it was really useful was with epic gems & shadow protection gear during MH/BT.

Personally i don't think it is fair if someone spends 10hrs /week running heroics, and the shards go to a person who just pops online 3 hours to raid, then disappears. This could be seen as benefitting the guild, but i don't think it is fair that the person running 10hrs/week has to pay for his enchant in the AH (500g?) because the shards went to someone else, who didn't do any 'work' for it.

Maybe it's because i had some bad experience lately with people not returning flasks & herbs that i provided to them, but i think all raiders should be grinding food/flasks/enchants on their own, not rely on other people to provide them. (isn't that a guildrule??)

(context) I am a liberal (political view) and i don't like socialism, so that's a bit of context you have to know to judge my words.
I don't mean to be harsh; i just think people who 'work' hard for stuff are allowed to keep it, not give it to someone who doesn't work.
(now that i write this, it did sound a lot like taxes)

This has little to do with Hog's post on 'Let the enchanter DE". I agree with that, i just want to roll for shards at the end of a dungeon.

I usually try and pop some gems in the Gbank, but rarely see anyone taking them, I dont have rights to take anything out which is fair as I am a social, but in Icon wildhammer I also felt bad about taking things out of the GB and used to deposit gold back in (even if I knew I deposited a similar item recently). My thoughts on the guildbank was to help prop the raid team up, with mats, items, gold for repairs etc But it does always seem to be a dumping ground for bits and bobs lol.

Might be worth while having one tab for items to be put in then sorted into the different area's, might make it more easier for people to take/ask for items without guilt. Possible having a tab labelled for AH then once a week sell things in that tab. (I know more admin work for you guys!)

Its a tricky thing to have to balance as we all have different views on whats fair practice, but I do think if you are a raider then you should feel 100% comfortable taking items for raiding as long as its for main spec etc.

Cheers

Fang!

We had a problem with someone getting hacked, so right now only people with Authenticators have full access.

I think we can have one tab open for all though, and everything in it should be free for all to take, no strings attached.

If you spot some gear/other stuff in one of the "locked" tabs, don't hesitate to /w an Officer or PM here on the forum and we'll sort it out asap.
