So as we cleared MSV of normal now we can do HC mods.
Only problem is htere are two more raids to clear on normal.
So we need to decide waht to do.
My idea is to blitz MSV normal(for gear) and try to push HoF as fast as we can(maybe even TOES if we have few good raids).
We should do that like to 20.12 and then start pushing some hc MSV.

Maybe my idea is shit so if anybody got better idea pls write it down (as we need to sort this out before next reset).

My opinion (though I actually don't think it matters which route we go) is:

From next reset:
1. MSV clear fast. Maybe we can set a challenge for the raid to clear it in 90 minutes? Might focus people quite nicely, chain pull trash, one shot all bosses etc.

2. Then head to HoF and try to clear as much as possible in there. If by some miracle we clear HoF before the end of the week then go for ToES.

Rather than set an end date for normals, I say once HoF is clear, then go for heroic MSV.

Maybe for the reset after next (6th Dec) we should just focus on HoF?

Ye but as almost all boss ared big dps race(in HoF) maybe we should do quick msv normal runs for gear.(atm. i think we got maybe 3-4 person that have ilv over 480)

I'm happy to push through MSV for gearing over the next few weeks, though dont think it will hurt too much to try do 1 of the HCs thats meant to be the easier ones for a bit (to kinda test how hard it is for us), but would want to push too hard on working on HCs just yet.

HoF needs to be our main progression atm, MSV purely for gearing

Once we have HoF cleared, we can maybe try push a bit on a few HCs in MSV (though again the easier ones if they look promising and not waste too much time on these), and use HoF for gear and prgress in ToES

personally, i would do like that :

_ thursday, 1 hour on guards heroic (icy veins says : The Heroic mode of The Stone Guard is an introductory Heroic mode, probably the first one your raid will attempt in Tier 14. While the encounter is quite difficult (as all Heroic modes are), it is also reasonably accessible for a well geared and well coordinated group. Moreover, the encounter will be easy for your raid to learn, as it does not differ greatly from the Normal mode version.)

and then finish the rest in normal for 2 hours

_ monday : hof as much as possible - end of msv if not finished on thursday

_ tuesday : toes as soon as hof is finished - hof till not finished

1HC boss done and it gonna be a great boost rank wise

And this means people need to show up 15-20 min for the raid start ready to go @ 20:00 or earlyer. i like this idè whit the time thingy.

I'm with Haz on this one.
I think it makes sense that we want to do a fast clear of MSV, then get to HoF and work on progression. But it also makes sense that if a particular MSV heroic is easy and it's not going to slow us down too much, we'd be daft not to be doing that instead of normal mode.

IMO, we should have a go at guards HC for a while (30 mins? 1 hour?) if we down it in HC then :), if we fail, then we switch to normal and clear it.

So we all seem to agree to clear MSV at least once or twice. I think it's only fair anyway as there will be some raiders missing a WotE kill.

I don't think we should worry too much about DPS races in HoF either. People will either have to step up their game or we will be forced to replace them. It's harsh, but if we can't get past a boss, what else can we do in that situation?

Order of priority seems to be:

MSV Clear (max 2 or 3 more weeks?) -> Then move to HoF
Clear HoF -> Next reset we can try out MSV Heroics.
Perhaps 2 bosses heroic in MSV then try out ToES?

We need people to commit to doing the MSV speedrun, to get them to buy in. I think everyone in Icon would be up for that - it adds another dimension to the raid night and gives us a good feeling of progression even though we are just gearing poeple up. Suggest we post something in public forum so everyone knows that plan at least for Thursday. Also, can get people to post to confirm they've read it.

Something like this: (just put in a little reward, what do you think?)

Raiders Ahoy!
On Thursday we will try something a little bit different. Because we've cleared MSV and we think we've got some truly great raiders in our team, we will go there again and do a speed-run. Plan is to destroy all bossesin there as fast as possible with a target of 90 minutes. We will chain pull trash stopping only if healers need mana or someone needs to be rezzed! If we complete it in under 90 minutes, every raider present will get a gift of 1000 gold from the guild bank! For every 10 minutes outside that, we remove 200 gold. Sounds like fun? Yes!

To do this we need to ensure that EVERYONE is on time for the raid and ready to go for normal raid start time. Preferably though, we would like people to arrive 15 minutes early (i.e the normal invite time!) so we can get prepared and go as soon as possible.

1. Bring food!
2. Bring flasks!
3. Bring pots (and use them, pre-potting etc.)
4. Bring focus!

If you've read this, please can you post a reply below so we know everyone has seen and understood the plan?

Thanks,
Hog

i think speedrun will not work :) lol

have a speedrun involve some luck we dont have all the time and very very well built team/devoted players. If u got a bit too much melee, u'll get screwed, if someone cant make it, got a pb, got dc, got god knows what always happen, u'll get screwed :) There's no point (my opinion) to give gold for that as it looks for me as a reward for slacking on monday/tuesday

Then, the main problem is not to speedrun on thursday, the main pb comes from signup on monday and tuesday !!!

If you want to stretch the luck and see where goes the motivation, move msv speedrun on monday !

we can do speedruns but we have 1 problem.
we have 60k gold in gbank.

but the thing is we should make like 1-2 full clear msv and then just focus HoF.

Next reset we should go HoF.

Almost half of gear was DEed yesterday. So we should go MSV when we have weakest setup(caus we can carry 2 players).

Agree totally, tbh I was kinda pissed off lastnight from the start with no communication from the tanks to the raid on the 1st boss. Plus I cant see us being able to ever being able to do the HC version of this fight unless tanks start communicating a hell of a lot more, Shalcker mostly ofc, but for a fight like that BOTH need to have a lot of communication, not just with each other but with the whole raid.

Agree, most loot isnt needed there on normal so lets just focus on HoF, and IMO not bother wasting time on any HC tries in MSV or anything as I previously suggested.

Just so we all know, following Eddio offering to change his raid nights to suit us lastweek, he is going to be signing up Thurs & Mon so that we should have a solid team for 2 nights of the week, instead of 1 solid team night and 2 not so solid.

This may mean Tuesdays are a bit of a fail of a team until we can fix the issue, but it atleast should allow us time to focus on HoF and progression for a few nights

I'm happy with all the suggestions, other than perhaps we should forget about ToES at least until we have several heroic bosses down?

As for the roster, suggest the new warlock is kicked, has she been to more than 1 raid?
