She is probably right, that the 80 miles an hour which is shown on the speedometer is not accurately describing the displacement of the vehicle in space.
The time to reach destination 80 miles away, while maintaining 80 miles an hour on the speedometer, depends on the calibration of the speed measurement device which strongly depends on the present diameter of tires. This diameter depends on the profile which definitely is a function of the age of the tire itself and the overall distance the tire has been used. But it also depends on the loss of mass in form of burned fuel going up the exhaust during the journey and the actual temperature which, in conjunction with the actual pressure in the tires, adds to the error in speed estimation. Furthermore, gravity does change in the sub-promille range traveling over 80 miles distance. This does modify the tire radius and therefore the real speed of the vehicle while keeping the same value on the speedometer.
So yeah, I loled at the guestimation of that dude. One hour, that is an oversimplification of the problem which is prove of a simple minded person. Furthermore, he fails to see a genious mind at work. Worst of all, he posts this video on the internet and makes a fool of himself... LOL!
