Okay, my problem is, I use the mouse curser only in very very rare occasions. All spells are bound to keys. So, actually clicking a lightwell is taking me out of my dps rythm because I need to "find" my courser first, find the lightwell, click. I still do it, because its a powerfull HOT. But it causes me to loose track of the encounter and rotation for a second or two. I guess thats particularly a problem of melee, because they need to click "behind them" most of the cases. Clicking lightwell is often disturbed by boss or adds standing on the same spot. So finding the well under their bodies can be a challenge.

So, what I was asking myself is, how to macro that stuff. There is no way to do it directly. Blizz wants ppl to click. Real men dont click! There might be an option though I would like to try out when I find a priest :P

The interaction is divided in three seperate step. The main advantage is, you do not need to "search" the lightwell anymore. You still need to move your mouse though.

1) Bind "Interact with mouseover". Well, that you did obviously in beforehand.

2) focus lightwell when its up, most priest shout when they do. I bind that macro to the useal focus key + modifier shift.

/focus
/targetlasttarget

3) use lightwell by hoovering over focus frame and press keybind for interact with mouse over.


Thats more convinient than switching targets. Other option would be to bind "interact with target". But that would require to switch targets and an additional key. However, this would avoid any movement of the mouse curser. It is apparently not possible to macro interact with target.

1) Bind Interact with target
(1a) Eventually bind lightwell to focus)
2) use macro to target "focus target" or use a macro to /targetexact lightwell
3) press "Bind interact with target"
4) use "last target" keybind




Maybe you guys have some input on that.
