So they're increasing Shamans Earthliving, Chain Heal and Healing rain by 20%.

Seems like an OK buff, although I don't think increasing their AoE healing is gonna affect much, atleast not on the fights we've seen this far?
Granted I haven't healed on my shaman since Cata, but Chain Heal doesn't seem to be the most used spell, wish they would give them a flat healing increase like Druids got - Although maybe not 20%.

But I'm not sure, I don't know for certain what the Shaman problems are atm, is it stat scaling or something?

Resto shamans are very weak as it is now, most of the fights people are way to spread out, to be able to utilize their AoE healing properly.

Imo, the only thing a shaman brings to a group that any other healer can't do better, is they have some pretty strong Raid CD's.
Shamans in my opinion needs a big overhaul, cause increasing their AoE healing abilities, won't help them much with the current raid tear, atleast not the way I see it.

I have been stalking a lot of shamans lately. Inspecting top shamans and then checking there logs. 25 man raids shamans are just spoilt, no skill needed to get high numbers.

10 man however is iffy. Majority of the shamans I have checked on logs are always 3rd healer with a massive gap between priests & paladins. But some are not. The odd one is number one (about 2 out of 10 shamans).

One of the biggest factors I have noticed is crit & haste. My gear doesn't allow me the same as these guys have that I have been inspecting but I have since reforged as much mastery as I can into crit. I still have a lot of mastery. The extra crit I am pleased to say,I have already seen a difference with my mana. I put my heal tide totem down & my mana shot up a good chunk (I got really excited lol). My heals have also gone up due to more crits etc.

I have only tested in lfr's since my tweaking & I was top healer every fight BUT that is 25 man & I did not compare gear with other healers, but I do believe my healing has gone up. I am yet to test it in 10 man but I really hope to see some improvement, fingers crossed ;)

I was baffled as prior content - MV & HoF my other shaman was often top healer in 10 man, but them raids had a lot of grouping which I am finding much less in ToT. Looking forward to testing this though. HR is still a very viable spell in 10 man for the procs & AV, it just does not give as much healing due to less people standing in it. However I think people could try to stand in it a bit more, it heals, it will hot you up with earth living as well as giving you 10% extra hp! (av).

I dont think you are a bad healer evenif i never saw you healing :)

Theres 4 parameters to think of :
_ ur skills, ur gear, the content (10/25m) and the others (whom u compare yourself).

Skills : You cant compare skills. To compare skills, you'd need to be in the same room, have the same materiel, same connections and do the same thing than the person you want to be compared with. Bref, its impossible to judge straight. Tho, after long experience, u can judge skills of someone through 1-2 expansion.

As rogue, gringo is badass compared to many rogues. He knows his stuffs but he knows exactly how and when to dps and he's fucking good at that. I've been competing with hog too for quite a while as sp and he's also quite skilled.

It's as much easy to have an opinion as to falsely judge someone.

_ about gear, not so long time ago, i was competing with shalck. Now, 12 ilvl difference and he pawn me 60k at least in lfr. Each ilvl u gain is a raw boost of perf. That boost scales with ur skills. Give 4 ilvl to gringo and u'll feel it raidwise :) Give it to me, it'll tickkle.

_ Most of content is antimelee, some content is clearly more designed for classes and not for others. There's no equity of classes on front of a boss. Some classes are op, some other are whinning more, some other will be always fucked.

Finally, whom you are comparing yourself ? to suky ? suky is extremly skilled + priests are op atm. Pallies are also considered op atm.
Stay cow :) Drood is way much too different of shammy, it could simply not be relevant.

Ask a raidleader/officers to let you compete with tooth mano-a-mano 2-3 fights/wipes. I think it can be interresting :) you'll prolly see that you're not so much sucky.

Just the high amount of crits from the totem heals making my resurgence kick in. My mana regain from resurgence has gone up a decent amount, spirit is obviously our main stat for mana regain, but I have kept the spirit I have and just added some crit.

I was also using the glyph for water shield which I have also removed.

Just been reading up some more, & my totem does not proc resurgence. So most likely losing my shield glyph is the reason as when totem is down I often don't heal and take the moment (when possible) to spam my LB. The extra gain then usual could be just because I am gaining more passive mana ;)

I think the change from mastery to crit might Be worth it.
Considering that not very often do you utilize your mastery to its fullest. I remember back in ds when druids were struggling, I was trying loads of builds, just to max my healing outcome vs mana regen, and ended up going a very heavy haste / mastery build with low spirit, but talented for high mana for big gain from innervate, some called me silly... But it worked for me.
Play around, try and find what works for you:)
